The Project
What began as a plan to repaint the walls soon developed into a complete renovation of Laila’s two-level London apartment in Wapping.
Drawing on her Finnish heritage and love of Scandinavian design, Laila brought together Italian furniture, colourful artwork and distinctive decorative details to create a home full of personality. From the sculptural living room fireplace to the cloud wallpaper and mustard sideboard in the hallway, every space reflects her individual style and creative vision.
Photography & Film
Vanity Pix was invited to photograph and film the finished interiors, including an interview with Laila discussing the inspiration, decisions and design process behind her home. The resulting photography and film capture both the finished spaces and the personal story behind their creation.
